We here at Foothill Hydroponics have been providing hydro garden systems, nutrients, supplies and guidance for Hydroponic gardeners since 1961. We introduced our advanced Hydroponic liquid nutrient system in 1984. Originally, Xtra Edge was a 3-part system with Grow / Bloom / Micro components.

We introduced a Hard Water Micro in 1998, as we saw many customers with a slight lack of Potassium and an excess of Calcium when mixed with hard water, which is prevalent in the Southwest. The Hard Water Micro formula contains the highest concentration of Potassium of any liquid Hydroponic formula. Xtra Edge HW Micro also has the most Fulvic acid of any Hydroponic nutrient concentrate, a full 0.5%. This increases nutrient absorption and helps prevent nutrient lock up in hard water. Hydroponic gardeners who follow our advanced nutrient regimen report increased yields in most cases. We also offer a complete line of specialty dry Hydroponic nutrient concentrates, which include all trace elements in the correct proportions.

Today, we are especially pleased and excited to be helping thousands of elementary, middle-school and high school students, and their teachers, with their Hydroponic science projects.
